We received quite a few samples, and I was most intrigued by the seven little roll on bottles of these scents.

The package says they are luxurious, sensual unisex perfume.  Natural, botanical, and pure!

There is Zephyr, Heracles, Chronos, Demeter, Selene, and Ares.  Where to begin!

I have applied Selene at least three times and then have been pulled away and didn’t get to

write a word!  The first whiff made me think of Easter Lillies-but just for a second and then more

like fresh mown hay.   What transpires as it dries down, at least on me, is quite different!  It gets

much more subtle and also a wonderful spiciness which I didn’t see coming in my first impressions!

I know the other fragrances are quite lovely also.  They have a great website where you can get more

information and send for a bottle or two!

One person I met was Mark Behnke, Managing Editor of a Fragrance Magazine called

www.cafleurebon.com.  He has a chemistry background and has been writing fragrance reviews

for sometime.  I read several of his last entries.  I will learn a lot from reading his comments!

Fragrances are so personal!  It is interesting what each one pulls from each essence and then

it is awesome what it smells like on each skin!

I will share more later.  I want to devote more time to complete the sharing about this great

event!

at an event probably won’t get you all that excited.  It’s about the aromas, and the feelings that these

wonderful potions conjure up!  So let me talk about the fragrances!

You may not know about Pretty Woman which was designed by Barbara Orbison.  It was shown at the luncheon and

we were able to check it out at the Plaza Hotel when we ended our day there.

The notes are floral and spicey, notes which blend well.  I would say this will make a wearable scent for a lot

of women.  We were told that Roy actually wore this scent also.  There is to be a specific men’s fragrance to

follow.  The top note is singularly bergamot which tends to dissipate fairly quickly and the middle notes are

rich florals of stargazer lily, red rose, and carnation.  The base notes are amber, patchouli, vanilla, atlas cedar-

wood, and sacred incense.  Carnation has a spiciness on its own and depending on the way the base notes dry down on

a person, you could get quite an incensy-aroma.

I found this to be pleasant scent.  I might want to wear a few more times before I consider a purchase, but I know many

will be able to wear this and will enjoy!

Just one more thing, the New York Times fragrance editor, Chandler Burr spoke.  His topic raised some shackles

as he spoke about NOT sharing the individual notes in a fragrance!  He did his job to create some controversy!

There was talk the rest of the weekend about that.  =)

It was interesting, though, as which ingredients are used is very important to me and given the choice between

smelling a fragrance without knowing the ingredients.  Smelling a fragrance knowing the notes, hands down, I would

choose to smell.  Once I know the ingredients, I can predict with much accuracy whether I will like it (and even have

an opinion about its popularity!).  Enough for now, I will share more fragrances as time permits!

a trip!  I had flashbacks from the movie, “Trains, Planes, and Automobiles!”  Once I arrived,

very late, the fun began!

I heard about this event from one of my CEO Space acquaintances who was participating in the event,

Elyssia Wassung with Two Chicks with Chocolate.  I missed the morning activities at Bergdorf Goodman

and barely made the luncheon at Opia restaurant.  There were several speakers including a Sephora

representative-Carrie Lapoff, one from OzMoz;  Elyssia who provided a chocolate sample to all with some ginger,

pepper, and cinnamon, Teresa Findley with Perfume.com, Katie with Katie Puckrik Smells, a representative from

“Pretty Woman,” Chandler Burt, Dawn Spencer Hurwitz, and Cathy Gins with Aromawear.  There was also

Francoise DeMi with Jacomo and their new fragrances.  I will share more about what they all had to say.  This was just

the lunch line-up!    More later!
